Advanced Lipids is a joint venture between AAK and Enzymotec. AAK, the world's leading producer of high value-added speciality vegetable fats and oils for the infant formula industry. Enzymotec, a global biotech company that develops and manufactures lipid-based biofunctional and nutraceutical ingredients. Advanced Lipids provides customers with a unique and comprehensive service package when combining Enzymotec’s clinical and chemical expertise in lipid technologies with AAK’s international strength in food safety, production, logistics and customer relations.  

The key product is InFat, a clinically-proven fat ingredient for infant formula. InFat's manufacturing process is based on a proprietary enzymatic technology, providing structured triglycerides of the type found in mother’s milk.

The R&D center of Advanced Lipids is at Enzymotec, Israel. Advanced Lipids continuously and comprehensively invests in InFat clinical research. All of Advanced Lipids development activity is IP (intellectual property) supported and protected.

Advanced Lipids collaborates with key medical and research centers worldwide in conducting advanced R&D, and liaises with international regulatory submission experts to achieve timely regulatory global approvals.

The production facitliy of InFat is located at AAK in Karlshamn, Sweden. The factory is a state-of-the-art fully automated plant equipped with the latest technology for enzymatic production of structured triglycerides.
